COVID-19 Updates

Following the ongoing developments in pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions being loosened for the university and state, our pantry’s guidelines have been updated; however, our priority to ensure the safety of clients and volunteers within the pantry has remained unchanged.

Our pantry will be implementing a new distribution model similar to what was offered prior to the pandemic while still following COVID safety recommendations. Clients will be allowed to enter the pantry after scheduling an entry time slot while clients who do not schedule an entry time will be given a bag of preselected items.

In accordance with CDC and Brazos Valley Food Bank guidelines, our standards are as follows:

– Masks are strongly encouraged within the pantry regardless of vaccination status.

– Masks are strongly encouraged for volunteers when inside 12th Can facilities

– The following COVID-19 prevention protocols are still encouraged:

    • Maintaining good personal hygiene (frequently wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol)
    • Keeping social distancing in consideration
    • Staying home if you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms.

Thank you for cooperating with us through these trying times!
